If you’re looking for a little inspiration on how to change up the way you wear your suit, look no further. We’ve collected up a few styles you can flick through to bring a new edge to your whistle.
Cutting a fine figure without having James Bond’s tailor in your contacts can be a bit of a challenge – especially if you’re not sure what colours and styles go well together.
Firstly, colour. Suits do not have to be black. Nowadays there are many great suits in a variety of colours and styles. Take a blue suit and add life with a bright complimentary coloured tie, or tone down a slightly less common colour suit with a white shirt and less bright colour. You can also keep to one tone, as the chap below in the grey.
If you want to drop the tie but keep a little formality you could opt for a turtle neck – great for Autumn / Winter. Foregoing the tie is also a great way to give you a nice summer look. Alternatively, adding an accessory such as a hat or a scarf will adorn your ensemble nicely.
If something less formal is your cup of tea, but you still want to look sharp, you’ve plenty of options. Wearing your suit with denims, a T-shirt or casual shoes is the perfect combination for a peppier look. Adding a printed shirt is also a great way to take the suit to a more casual style. You can also swap in cropped trousers, a vest or brighter shoes.
And for the more adventurous a printed, brightly coloured or vintage suit is a good way to simultaneously show your personality and look like a wall street wolf.
So there you have it, five minutes worth of inspiration to change up your look the next time you don a suit.
